One Direction dropped the mother of all bombshells yesterday when they revealed their new album title, release date AND treated us to a new track.

Incase you've not already heard, it's called 'Infinity' and we're already a little obsessed.

So much so, we though we'd break down the lyrics and try and decipher like actual detectives what it all means...

How many nights have you wished someone would stay?

What this could mean: One of the boys' romantic experiences perhaps? Aka they're probs talking about a lady friend who they wanted to, well, stay.

How many nights does it take to count the stars? That's the time it would take to fix my heart...

What this could mean: Basically there are a lot of stars, which means who ever this is about their heart is seriously broken. WE'LL HELP THEM FIX IT.

Moving in reverse with no way out...

What this could mean: Perhaps they're going backwards in life and can't work outhow to change the way things are going. Or theircar is stuck in reverse, that would also be a nightmare.

All I ever wanted was the truth...

What this could mean: Well they obviously just want the truth about SOMETHING. Right?

Trying to catch my breath someway, somehow...

What this could mean: They have seriously exhausting careers, so maybe they are referring to their impending break in which they will quiteliterally catch their breath.
