One Direction Tour Tickets Sell Out In Minutes
Tickets for One Direction's Where We Are tour have reportedly sold out just minutes after being released this morning.
Following [uuid=5c0f61f2-ae0f-423d-b5e1-b2da07139093]last week's announcement by the band[/uuid], fans were desperate to get their hands on tickets for the stadium tour when they went on sale at 10am - and a spokesman for ticket website viagogo predicted the 2014 tour "could sell out in as little as 10 minutes".
And according to The Metro, it was all over in a matter of minutes, with shops selling out and ticketing websites crashing under the pressure.
There was some good news for the devastated Directioners who missed out though - 1D added extra dates at Dublin's Croke Park, Manchester's Etihad Stadium, and Wembley Stadium in London.
Earlier this morning both Niall Horan and Harry Styles gave a shout out to fans, with Niall tweeting: "Getting news of people queueing outside shops to get tickets! Thank you so much! But I ask one thing! Please be safe out there! Big love."
Harry also had Directioners' best interests at heart, posting on Twitter: "Tickets are on sale! Please remember to only buy from official outlets. There's some pesky people out there, can't wait to see you!! Gaahh."
According to Entertainmentwise, the lads also announced that 50p from every stadium tour ticket sold would go to the Stand Up To Cancer charity.
