Over the last few months, the One Direction fandom has dealt with more drama than your average episode of ‘Geordie Shore’.

But now that the dust has finally settled between Zayn, Naughty Boy and the band, we can get back to more important matters -like when are we getting a shiny new single, eh?

Before Zayn quit in March, it was rumoured that the next single off of the ‘Four’ album would be ‘Where Do Broken Hearts Go’, but alas, we’ve had nothing since 'Night Changes' wasreleased back in November.

So naturally, the 1D fandom have taken matters into their own hands and are now petitioning for underdog track ‘No Control’ to become the third single.

With Directioners trending #WeWantNoControlAsASingle on Twitter like crazy, here’s exactly why we agree that the Louis Tomlinson led track should be given a proper release.

1. Um, how about the fact that it’s an absolute tune?

To be honest, this has always been in our top three of faves when it comes to ‘Four’, so we’d be right pleased.

2. After an, erm, somewhat turbulent time, what better way to support Louis than with a single that has him as the lead

We’re pretty sure operation ‘Make ‘No Control’ A Single’ started after Louis tweeted that.

3. It’s a big 'screw you' to any haters who have ever said Louis can’t sing

Educate yourselves, peasants.

4. If it does become a single, then maybe One Direction will finally put it in the bloody OTRA tour setlist

The fact that it isn’t already in there is criminal, so this may actually fix that situation too.

5. The fans have spoken, and nobody should mess with that
