The newly-solo star also teases the release date of her debut album...

Normani has only just began recording her album yet her solo career is trumping most.

The Fifth Harmony alum recently made headlines when one of her idols, the one and onlyMissy Elliott, reached out to her on Twitter about working together.

While the internet has birthedmany friendships that have lead to IRL collabs, a legend of Missy's kind is another level of dreaming, however it's really happening.

Speaking to Billboard, Normani dished on her recent studio sessions and confirmed that she will indeed be jumping in the booth with the 'Lose Control' rap superstar.

“I’ll be working with Missy Elliott soon, and the fact that she’s even willing to take a chance on me as a new artist means a lot," she said,"considering that she’s the one I’ve looked up to since I was a little girl.”

You and us both, Normani! The 'Love Lies' singer went on to elaborate on her fascination with the music legend, which started out way back when.

“I literally remember dancing in my grandmother’s living roomto all of Missy Elliott’s records. She’s such an innovator, and there’s no one else out there like her."

"The fact that she is willing to work with me…I’m like, ‘Who? Me?’” Yes, you!

It's admirable that Normani is so humble considering her massive success with Fifth Harmony in the past five years, although we would feel the exact same.

While she didn't give any details on the nature of the collab, it sounds like they'll be making some music magic together for her debut album - which Normani saysmight be out by the end of the year.

Normani made her solo debut earlier this year with 'Love Lies', her epic collaboration with R&B mega-star Khalid for the'Love, Simon'soundtrack.

In addition to Khalid and Missy Elliott, she also confirmed that she is in the studio with major hitmakers The Stereotypes, who worked heavily on Bruno Mars' Grammy-winning album'24K Magic'.

We cannot wait to hear this!
