MTV2’s Gonzo Wins Big at NME Awards!

Oh and there are gongs for Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Kanye too...

MTV2s flagship show Gonzo has been named Best TV Show at this years NME Awards. Damn right too.
The Zane Lowe-fronted show, which returns to MTV2 tonight (February 24) at 7pm, beat the crap out of Lost, Little Britain, Peep Show and The Mighty Boosh to emerge victorious at last nights Hammersmith Palais ceremony.
Zane, who also won a gong for his Radio 1 show, collected the award in a stripy jumper.
Tune-in tonight at 7pm to see why Gonzo brought home the bacon.
Meanwhile, the MTV2-supported Best Video award went to Oasis. Their Importance Of Being Idle video came out on top of clips by Gorillaz, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs and The Strokes.
Arctic Monkeys had the most gongs to carry, picking up three on the night for Best New Band, Best British Band and Best Single (for I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor).
Other winners included Kaiser Chiefs (Best Album and Best Dressed for Ricky), Kanye West (Best Solo Artist), The Strokes (Best International Band), Franz Ferdinand (Best Live Act), Pete Doherty (Sexiest Man " no, really) and James Blunt (Worst Album).
Well done, James.
But more importantly, well done Gonzo! Tune-in tonight at 7pm. Do it.
