Nicki Minaj has unleashed a new track on the internet, suggesting that she could be making a sharp change of direction with her forthcoming album The Pink Print.

The 31-year-old star dropped Yasss Bish!!! (ft. Soulja Boy) on music-sharing site Soundcloud yesterday - surprising fans with a stripped-back hip-hop production and some fierce rapping.

The track begins with Soulja Boy's intense 808 drum hits and a sinister, echo-y loop - with what sound like church bells ringing in an ominous tone.

But production aside, Minaj's vocals are what stands out. Her voice is melodic, but her message is fierce.

"I am the queen bee 'cause I'm a machine," she declares.

And she even references ex Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, who was booted out of the NBA after making racist comments recently.

"I don't f**k with you n***as, I own the Clippers," she raps.

But a careful listen to the track reveals that amongst all the bragging there's a very important announcement:

"Droppin' my single in two weeks / The Pink Print album a movie."
