A Zayn Malik and Niall Horan reunion is officially on the cards and it's set to happen at the 2017 People's Choice Awards of all places.

There is one slightly awkward part of this long-awaited public reunion and that's the fact that the two former One Direction bandmates are actually set go up against each other, battling it out to win Favorite Breakout Artist, for which they are both nominated.

With the list of PCA nominations landing this week, 1D fans have been feeling even more torn than usual after hearing that both lads are in the same category. Still, it's definitely not all bad or dramatic and actually gives Directionersdouble the chance at a win, doesn't it?

To be honest we're 100% sure that there'll be absolutely no bad blood between these too and are sure they'd be just as psyched about the other winning, so let's have no drama there. Plus they still have to beat the other nominees, who include DNCE, Alessia Cara and the Chainsmokers.
