Camila Cabello and Pharrell Team Up On ‘Sangria Wine’
The masterminds behind ‘Havana’ reunite in a bid for a summertime anthem and... it works.
That’s right, Camila Cabello and Pharrell Williams have released the insanely funky and slightly tipsy-sounding collaboration ‘Sangria Wine’ today.
For those who didn’t know, Pharrell co-wrote Camila’s worldwide smash hit ‘Havana’ with a handful of others, so it only makes sense that the duo returned to the studio to work on more magic together.

“Honey says she wants somebody break her off proper / Man she’s so relentless so nothing can stop her,” Pharrell opens the song, over stitched-up production fusing hip-hop bass and Latin flare.
Camila gives a super-fun vocal performance that is simply bursting with personality, each and every line punctuated with her instantly recognisable vocal flexes.
“In Mi-yami, where winters are ha-aht” is one of the best examples, providing instantly quotable moments that make the already-good song ten times more interesting.
Camila has performed ‘Sangria Wine’ on tour for a few months now, and Pharrell even joined her during one of her headline shows in the US last month to give it the full treatment.
We know that Cabello’s die-hard fans have been waiting (im)patiently to hear the final version and we couldn’t be happier with how it sounds. The question now is whether or not this signals a re-release of her self-titled debut album?
While we’re still hoping that ‘She Loves Control’ gets the summer single treatment (please!), this is a lush start to the summer for the pop starlet.
