A Discovery Of Witches Cast Play WOULD YOU RATHER!
Steamy, dramatic and oh-so-gripping, A Discovery Of Witches is going to be your new fave show. In it, witches, vampires and daemons hiding in plain sight from humansface some tricky dilemmas… like, should you use your witchy powers for the good of the species, even though you’ve sworn them off your whole life? Or, should youdate a witch even though you’re a vampire and the whole thing’s going to get messy AF?
We sat down with the cast of Sky’s epic new romantic paranormal drama, Teresa Palmer (Diana Bishop), Alex Kingston (Sarah Bishop), Valarie Pettiford (Emily Mather and Owen Teale (Peter Knox) to reveal what they would do IRL in some super-tough supernatural scenarios, in a REVEALINGgame of Would You Rather: A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES edition…
Would You Rather… be a witch or a vampire?
Teresa Palmer: A witch! Especially because Diana’s the most powerful witch that we’ve ever seen…. I am such a big fan of mysteries, I would love to be able to find out the truth about certain ones. I would love to have a power where I could find out all the truth about everything.,
Alex Kingston: I’d be a witch! I’d want time-jumping powers.
Valarie Pettiford: A witch! I’d use my powers for good! Let’s heal this world.
Owen Teale: Witch -I’m a witch through and through. I’m like a stick of rock. Cut me and it’d be written through me! My particular power in the series is the power to get inside someone else’s mind and force them to hear you... if I had that in real life, I’d do that for the benefit of humanity. I would get into the heads of certain leaders and get them to stop the things they’re doing at the moment.
Would you rather… go on holiday to study with Diana in Oxford or wine tasting with Matthew in France?
TP: Wine tasting. I’m a sucker for some cabernet. I’d go hang out with Matthew and taste some beautiful reds!
AK: Wine tasting in Matthew with France!
VP: Wine tasting. Sorry Diana!
OT: I’ve got to say the wine tasting with Matthew in France. I love wine, I love all the time I’ve ever spent in France working and being on holiday there. I’m sorry!
Would you rather… be an expert in science or history?
TP: History. I love history. I’m really intrigued by it. It was one of my favourite subjects at school, and history is really important because it creates the fabric of who we are.
OT: They’re very equivalent. They are equivalent because they both pursue the same thing, which is the truth. But if I had to make the choice, it would be science.
Would you rather… be best mates with Sarah or Emily?
AK: You can’t ask us that!
VP: Right, you can’t ask us that!
AK: Well of course, I would love to be best mates with Em, because she’s my partner!
Would you rather… have awesome witch powers, but you can’t control them or awesome rowing powers you’re completely in control of?
TP: Witch powers. Because I think, like Diana, you can learn to control your powers and get better at them. And then who doesn’t want to have Witchwind and Witchwater and all these incredible things you can do as a witch.? I mean time travelling, that’s amazing!
AK: That’s a difficult one.
VP: Yeah, because I would want to control my powers.
AK: I know, but I would want my witch powers. I mean Diana can’t control hers but when they happen, they happen for a reason. They happen because instinctively, something sets her off. So, in a funny sort of way I would say witch powers I can’t control.
Would you rather… find an enchanted spellbook and have no one know, or not find it but have everyone think you have?
TP: Oh, find it! Yeah, I’d love to find the book and, I guess I can’t have anyone know about it. But I would do something special with it for sure.
OT: Definitely find it and not let people know. Try to use the power as wisely as possible, for the good of mankind and this wonderful planet that we’re on
Would you rather… go on a date with Matthew Clairmont from ‘A Discovery from Witches’ or Edward Cullen from ‘Twilight’?
TP: Hmm, Matthew De Clairemont or Edward Cullen? I’d have to say Matthew De Clairemont. Only because I know him. I don’t really know Edward Cullen, I’ve only seen the first Twilight. I’m not as invested in his character as I am in Matthew De Clairmont. And he has a much better wine collection and I’m a big fan of my reds. So that’ll do it!
