Mollie King Is Back With 'Hair Down' And It's Total Pop Perfection

The Saturdays star is back with a huge bang-er...

Mollie King stomps into this week's New Music Friday playlists with one thing on her mind: she needs tolet her 'Hair Down'.

Embracing her pure-pop roots again, the singer's solo return is a frantic call for dancefloor action that packs a punch much harder than anything on radio right now - and it's all the better for it.

'Hair Down' is produced by Xenomania, who Mollie worked with on The Saturdays' hits 'All Fired Up' and 'What Are You Waiting For?', and are responsible for Girls Aloud's trademark in-your-face pop that didn't make much lyrical sense half the time.

The song doesn't pay much attention to standard pop rules, as Mollie follows a 39 second instrumental with the chorus before going into the absolutely ludicrous first verse.

"Pleased to meet you, barbershop quartet / But that means you obviously ain't getting any sex" is the best lyric of 2017 and that is not up for debate, alright?

'Hair Down' is a total banger, unashamedly camp, and will have you singing "na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na" all day long.

As for the music video,Mollie is in total Pop Princess mode in the glittery, dance-based affair, where she hair-flips approximately 729 times and manages not to break her neck.

We're obsessed with all of this.

Bravo, Mollie!
