It might seem like Bella Hadid was born to be in front of the camera but it's now been revealed that the supermodel can be just as self-conscious as the rest of us when it comes to being overly critical of pictures of herself.

in an interview with The Guardian, the 20-year-old opened up about why it's so rare to see a photo where she's grinning ear-to-ear and it's all to do with the fact she isn't too keen on the way a smilealters the appearance of her face.

"People meet me sometimes and say: 'You’re so different to what I expected.' People always tell me I seem mean or intimidating on social media," she began."But I really love engaging with new people."

On the reason she favours a pout over a broad grin, Bella told the newspaper: "I feel uncomfortable, sometimes, smiling in front of the camera. It actually took me until probably this year to really understand my face."

This follows an interview Bella gave to The Telegraph in which she admitted that she'd love a chance to relive her teenage years and can't help but feel like the pressures of the industry have forced her to grow up quicker than usual.

"I feel like I’ve rushed into becoming a woman, so now I just want to be a teenager again," she said.

In all honesty, Bella could walk around with a frown on her face and still look gorgeous so we hope she feels more comfortable about her quite frankly award-winning smile soon.
