Post Malone’s Plane Had To Make An Emergency Landing In New York
Post Malone was flying from New Jersey to London after performing at the MTV VMAs in New York on Monday, when his private plane suffered damage during take-off. We know, this is crazy.
The rapper set off on Tuesday but the tyres of his plane had blown out just after taking flight, meaning the pilot had to make arrangements to perform an emergency landing, according to TMZ.
With 16 people including Post Malone on board, Air traffic control told the aircraft to continue on its route to burn out the rest of the plane’s fuel in order to make the emergency landing safer.
The plane was then informed to divert its journey to NYC where it had to circle above the city in order to burn fuel before heading for safety.
There were 9 fire trucks and 12 ambulances on standby, and 25 personnel waiting to take care of the passengers as they disembarkedthe flight.
Eventually the plane managed to get on the ground at Stewart International Airport in New Winsor, NY, but the seriousness of the situation hasn’t stopped Twitter from posting pretty dark puns.
Post Malone jokes are now everywhere. And they’re not great. Malone even tweeted himself, saying: “i landed guys. thank you for your prayers. can't believe how many people wished death on me on this website. f**k you. but not today [sic].”
Luckily, no one was harmed during the emergency landing and Malone even managed to FaceTime with TMZ to complain about how he didn’t like flying to begin with.
Well if Malone hated flying before we bet he’s not a massive fan of it now.
We’re glad everyone’s safe and they managed to land the plane without any serious injuries.
