No one takes Halloween more seriously than Ariana Grande and this year she's taken things to a whole new level, getting new boyfriend Mac Miller involved in not one, not two but THREE killer couple's costumes.

In the run up to the spookiest of evenings we kinda thought Ari was giving Halloween a miss this year. We should have known better.

Why? Because she's totally nailed it with Mac's help,starting with a rather gruesome interpretation of their shared passion. No, not donut licking (WE JOKE) -we're talking about Pokemon.

The pair posed for a whole load of rather cute Instagram pics in these matching looks. With Mac as the Pikachu to what we think is Ariana asEevee, it was all rather romantic.

At least until Ari's zombified version of a Pokemon decided to rip Mac's heart out and eat it for breakfast.

After that the pair decided a second costume was in order, this time dressing as the teenage lovebirds Sam and Suzy from Moonlight Kingdom.

Naturally they nailed it and Ariana couldn't look more wholesome as Suzy.

But clearly not even two costumes wereenough for these two and to finish off the night Ariana and Mac decided for something a little darker.

Enter the best version of Neo and Trinity from The Matrix that you've ever seen. Well, apart from Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss's versions, but they were in the actual film so they do have a little head start.

In conclusion Ariana and Mac win Halloween and frankly the rest of us might as well go home, eat our trick or treating candy in bed and accept that.
