After months of rumours and speculation as to who Marvel will cast as their new Spider-Manthe announcement has officially been made, and it's Tom Holland.

The Brit actor, who you might recognise from Locke and The Impossible, will be stepping into Andrew Garfield's shoes, though at just 19 he might need to grow a little before they fit.

Unlike the last Spider-Man instalment, Holland's run as the Web-Slinger will include being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Thatbasically means that you'll see him pop up in a yet to be confirmed cameo appearance in Captain America: Civil War, with his own stand alone movie in 2017.

Marvel's decision has already divided fans of the previous films, with many hoping Dev Patel would be stepping in, but we can't wait to see what Holland does for the franchise!
