The gym might traditionally be one of the few places that wearing makeup seems pretty out of place, but it wont be for much longeras there's now a line of products that have been specially formulated to wear whileyou're working out.

Traditionally the idea of wearing makeup while exercising is seen as counterproductive. While working out would usually be a way to cleanse the skin and help expel nasties, wearing a full face of slap basically stops thebad things escaping by creating a barrier that can traptoxins inside your skin.

Still, for some wearing makeup can be a big confidence booster and if that includes you, there's now a range of products on the way that are formulated with exercise in mind. They are all lightweight and generally seem to be made of gel formulas which mean products will sink in and let skin breathewithout clogging pores the way an oil based formula would.

The range is calledArrowand is the second makeup line fromBirchbox. With threeproducts already launched over in the US, they are set to add three more in the coming months.

So far this includes acolour enhancing lip balm, an aluminium-free deodorantand a cooling cheek tint, with a water-resistant mascara, a tinted brow gel and a skin tint to come.

While we probably won't be splashing out on the cheek tint when the gym already sortsus out with a bright red face for free, the idea of a brow product that won't run down our face mid-spin class does sound intriguing.

They aren't the first brand to explore makeup for use during exercise though, and Eyeko's Sport Mascara is 100% waterproof so won't sweat off your face orleave you with panda eyes.
