There Is A 'Monster Hunter' Hollywood Movie In The Works Right Now
The epic Monster Hunter games are going to become a huge Hollywood movie!
With new game Monster Hunter: World out today, the man behind the series, Ryozo Tusjimoto, has confirmed to MTV that a big Hollywood movie is in the works.
Producer Tsujimoto revealed to MTV that the movie based on the popular action game is being worked on right now, saying: “Yes, actually the Monster Hunter feature film is in the early stages of discussion and development in Hollywood, so watch this space in the future!”
Imagine those monsters on the big screen!
He also gave us a tease of who to expect on the cast, saying: “I do think personally, that because it’s a game that was born in Japan, and such a Japanese phenomenon, even if we make a movie in the West, I would like for there to be at least one Japanese person in it... Me, for example!”
So who could direct it? Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the director of Kong: Skull Island, or Gareth Edwards, who directed 2014’s Godzilla, both have experience with massive monsters… just sayin’!
Monster Hunter: World is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
