Miley Cyrus has performed a new song live.

The Wrecking Ball singer played never-before-heard trackThe Twinkle Songat a show in Miami over the weekend, and while many may think the new tune could be about her romance with Patrick Schwarznegger, Mi-Cy had other ideas.

"I write about death a lot, randomly. My friend, she lost her cat, and I had these crazy dreams the night that her cat died, so I feel like her cat kind of told me what I was supposed to say to her to get her through it."

It's not the first time Miley has paid tribute to a late animal, with the star left devastated earlier this year when pet pooch Floyd passed away.
