There's A #FreeTheNipple Film On The Way And Miley Cyrus Is On The Soundtrack

…though there are no nipples in the trailer

Cara Delevingne, the Willis sisters and Rihanna have all been fighting to #FreeTheNipple this year, and now Variety reports that a film based around the anti-censorship campaign is on the way - and that Miley Cyrus has recorded the soundtrack.

[related] To be released on December 12th, Free The Nipple is about protestors fighting to be allowed to go topless in New York, and Miley has recorded a cover of Melanie Safka’s 'Look What They’ve Done to My Song, Ma' for the occasion.

Film director Lina Esco - also an actress - met Miley when working on 2012 teen flick 'LOL'. After showing our favourite twerker a cut of Free The Nipple over the summer, Miley agreed to take on the track, for the movie's closing credits.

“It’s more rock ‘n’ roll,” Lina says, of Miley's version. “It’s very Johnny Cash. Her voice is so raw, and the song is so raw.”

Ironically, no nipples are shown in the film's trailer, because police wouldn't allow the actresses to appear topless in the street.

“I’m making a movie called Free The Nipple and I can’t show boobs,” Lina told Variety. “I had to go and steal the shots. We went and mapped out all the locations, rehearsed with clothes on and did it all in one take.”

Here's hoping for a cameo from Miley herself!
