Not satisfied with bagging her own Harley Quinn spin-off, Margot Robbie is about to take on another badass heroine as the leading lady in a new Maid Marian solo film. That’s right, she’s SO box office the studio isn’t even bothering to cast anyone as Robin Hood…

The new film will be set long after the death of the legendary bowman, with Marian stepping into her lover’s shoes as the leader of a new band of merry men. The kingdom is under threat you see, so Marian is having to squad up to make sure the bad guys don’t win.

Simply titled 'Marian', the new film will be penned by playwright Pete Barry, with ex-Sony boss Amy Pascal in charge of developing the project. There’s no release date just yet, but with the Taron Egerton-starring 'Robin Hood' hitting cinemas in 2018, we’d imagine this one will probably land the following year.

With 'Gotham City Sirens' loosely penciled in for 2018, it looks like Margot is going to be all over our blockbusters for the next few years. No complaints here!
