Are Lower Than Atlantis Doing A 1975 On Us?
Brit rockers Lower Than Atlantis have gone all mysterious on social media.Following The 1975’s lead (remember when they disappeared from Twitter and made us all freak out that they were splitting up?) LTA are playing a secretive game with their fans right now.
Last week, a post on the band’s socials asked their fans to upload their favourite photos of LTA from the past 18 months on Twitter and Instagram, using the hashtag #LTAblack.
“We are doing something very very special over the coming weeks and we want you to be a part of it. All will be revealed soon, get posting,” the band wrote, in a detailed post thanking their supporters the night after they supported Linkin Park in front of 40,000 people.
Since then, LTA have upped the intrigue by posting a bunch of arty black and white photos (all hashtagged #LTAblack, natch) of the band on stage, including the most recent, which included the words:
NEW MUSIC THIS WEEK.
That’s right, we can expect new stuff from LTA very soon indeed – which should keep fans very happy, considering their last album dropped in October last year. Eleven months is a long time, you guys. Some guesses at the new album title: 'The Black Album'? Back To Black maybe? Hold on, those might have been done before…
Sweetening this already cracking news, the band have announced their big UK tour for December this year, and revealed this morning that Moose Blood, As It Is, Brawlers and Black Foxxes will be supporting them when they play Middlesborough, Leeds, Nottingham, Bristol, Birmingham, London, Manchester and Glasgow.
No doubt they’ll be airing some of this mysterious new music at these shows, so if you want to witness that in person, get your ticket now.
