Simon Cowell 'Embarrassed Over Louisa Johnson Song Choice' Following Poor Chart Performance
Simon Cowell is thought to be less than pleased with X Factor's song choice for Louisa Johnson'sfirst single, what with it now being the worst performing winner's recordever.
Normally a sure fire Christmas no.1, Louisa's cover of Forever Young by Bob Dylan peaked at no.9 in the UK charts after selling just 39,000 copies.
Accoring to The Sun, a source has revealed that Simon isn't exactly jumping for joy at the news...
"It’s an embarrassing result for Syco. Even though Louisa had two fewer days of sales, they expected the single to fare much better," they said.
Adding: "On reflection, they feel picking a more up-tempo, anthemic song would have been a better idea. But they are fully behind Louisa and insist the poor chart position was down to the song, not the performer."
Ben Haenow, who won the show last year, hit the no.1 spot after selling 214,000 records with Something I Need, joining the likes of Matt Cardle, Leon Jackson and Leona Lewis in earning the accolade.
