Liam Payne's 'Strip That Down' Reaches 1 Billion Streams
Liam Payne has plenty to celebrate this week.
As his new collaboration with Rita Ora dominatesthe charts worldwide, his debut solo single has reached a major milestone.
The sexy R&B jam'Strip That Down' has surpassed one billion (yes, with a B!) streams globally across all streaming platforms.
"1 billion global streams for 'StripThat Down.A ridiculous number!! Thank you to everyone that has supported this track," Payno tweeted announcing the news.
It's hardly surprising as the Quavo-assisted anthem was quite literally everywhere last year, going on to become one of the biggest songs of the summer.
'Strip That Down' reached Number 3 on the UK Singles Chart, Number 2 in Australiaand even cracked the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, making Liam the third One Direction member to have a solo Top 10 hit across the pond.
Second single 'Bedroom Floor' and 'Get Low', a collaboration with EDM king Zedd, followed suit, however his dreamy duet with Rita Ora is likely to be just as big as 'Strip That Down'.
'For You' is the A-list pair's collaboration for the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack and is expected to be just as big as Payne's ex-bandmate Zayn Malik's previous soundtrack single.
Here's to many more billions!
