Lana Del Rey Announces New Album 'Ultra-Violence'
Lana del Rey revealed last night that the name of her new album is Ultra-Violence.
The Summertime Sadness singer made the announcement during the premiere of her highly-anticipated short film Tropico in Hollywood yesterday.
"I really just wanted us all to be together so I could try and visually close out my chapter before I release the new record, Ultra-Violence," she told the screaming crowd.
No other information has yet been released regarding the follow up to her debut album, Born To Die, which came out last year.
Only a few months ago Lana claimed she didn’t know when her next album would be out. “When people ask me about it, I just have to be honest - I really don't know,” she told Nylon magazine.
“I don't want to say, 'Yeah, definitely - the next one's better than this one,' because I don't really hear a next one. My muse is very fickle. She only comes to me sometimes, which is annoying."
More recently Lana has been concentrating on short film Tropico, which premiered on Vevo today. The 30-minute movie sees Lana playing ‘Eve’ in a story she says is about “Elvis and Jesus and Marilyn and extraterrestrials all in one.”
