Over the past few years, superstars including Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez have changed the face of Las Vegas. No longer is it a place where pop veterans go to spend their final years on stage but the home of massive popstars.

And now the one and only Lady Gaga is going to join them all with her very own residency.

Whispers surfaced this week that Gaga was intending to sign on to her own stint of performances in the famous city and she took to social media last night to confirm them. "The rumors are true! I will have my own residency at MGM’s Park Theater."

She then added: "It’s been my lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl, I’m so overjoyed!"

What a sweetheart. Not only that but Gaga also sent out a big shout out to all of her fans for always supporting her and to call on them to come to Vegas to see her on stage. "LOVE YOU LITTLE MONSTERS WE DID IT, MEET ME IN Las Vegas!!"

Someone buy us flights there right now because we need to see this as it kicks off.

As it stands, Gaga is still yet to reveal when the residency will start and its length.

Regardless of the specifics of the show, we know that it will be incredible.

From 'Just Dance' to 'The Cure', all of Gaga's hits are worthy of thecity.
