Labrinth has premiered the music video for brand new single, Jealous.

The heart-breaking ballad is addressed to the parent who left his family when Labbers - real name Timothy McKenzie - was only four.

[related]The Let It Be hitmaker explained: "A lot of people have been through that experience. It’s kind of written from the perspective of how my family felt at the time, but I wanted to write it so anyone could dig into the song and relate to it to their own situation.

He opted to spend time in the home of country music, “because I wanted to learn how to be a better songwriter,” he states matter-of-factly, “as well as being a good producer. It was a great trip to teach me how to upgrade my skill.”

Jealous is the second single to be taken from Labrinth's new album and will be available from November 23.

Album, Take Me To The Truth, is due for release early 2015.
