The women of the Kardashian family have been open about the ‘Kardashian Kurse’ for years now after fans started to notice that the dudes they dated started to have some major life problems after meeting the sisters. Youngest sissy Kylie Jenner even admitted: “Their life kind of just goes down hill after [dating us]." So what is this kurse?

Most of the guys, from Scott Disick to Lamar Odom, who have dated Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, and their sisters have been riding high just to come crashing down after the demise of their love story with the world’s most famous siblings.

Scott Disick

When Keeping Up With The Kardashians first began in 2007, fans were introduced to Scott as Kourtney’s boyfriend. And in the ten years since the show began, we’ve watched Scott struggle with alcohol and partying addiction, infidelity and his mental health. The pair finally called in quits in 2015 after Kourtney admitted she’d had enough.

In 2016, Scott visited a psychic, during an episode of KUWTK, to ask if he truly was a victim of the kurse. The medium told him: “A negative energy is following you around. Everything that you try to do, you have a tendency to have many obstacles in front of you. To answer your question, I would probably say you do have a curse."

Tyga

Rapper Tyga was riding the success wave with a string of hits when he first started dating Kylie Jenner in 2014. But after fans weren’t happy with their age difference and his graphic song about the reality star Stimulated, things started to get tricky for Tyga. Blac Chyna accused him of cheating on her with Ky and not paying child support while he was hit with multiple financial lawsuits for rent and car payments.

Lamar Odom

When Khloe and Lamar met in 2009 the pair embarked on a whirlwind romance and after a month, they were married. But in 2012, Lamar had hit a rough patch and rumours of addiction and infidelity flooded the internet. Soon after the pair split and in 2015, the NBA player was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and was rushed to hospital. The pair divorced and Lamar’s career was put on hold.

Kris Humphries

The NBA player will forever be known as the guy who married Kim Kardashian for 72 days. After the pair split in 2011, just months after their televised wedding, Kris accused Kim of using him for publicity and ruining his career. Yikes.

Reggie Bush

Before the NFL star dated Kim Kardashian he was tipped to be one of the best football players of his generation. In 2009, he called time on their two-year relationship, claiming he didn’t want to be part of the Kardashian brand. After the break-up he was forced to hand back his Heisman football trophy after it was found he received bribes from USC and he became the first running back in history to finish a season with negative yards run. We’re not 100% what that means but it doesn’t sound great.

James Harden

The NBA player dated Khloe for eight months in 2015 and since named it as ‘the worst year of my life’. Ouch. He ended up splitting with the star because he felt her fame was affecting his career and performance.

He said to Maxim about the kurse: "I didn’t like all the attention. I feel like it was for no reason. I wasn’t getting anything out of it except my name out there and my face out there, and I don’t need that. It wasn’t uncomfortable, but it wasn’t me. I don’t need pictures of myself when I’m driving my car. Who cares? What shoes am I wearing? Who cares? Where am I eating? Who cares? It was unnecessary stuff that I think trickled down to my teammates. I had to eliminate that."

Tristan Thompson

He might still be with Khloe but Tristan hasn’t been safe from the kurse. The year after the pair hooked up in 2016, Tristian’s basketball team the Cleveland Cavaliers lost the NBA finals and fans blaming his relationship with Koko. ESPN presenter Jalen Rose even named it as a factor: "I want to say what everybody’s thinking. There are three things in life that are certain to me: Father Time, gravity, and the curse of the Kardashians. Tristan Thompson had zero points in two of the three (Finals) games."
