Justin Bieber took to Instagram last night to open up about why there’s been no news of a new album since his ‘Purpose’ project in 2015.

In an open letter on Instagram, he vented that due to mental health issues and surrounding pressures including newly married life and the toll touring through his whole teenage years has taken on him, Justin explained why there’s no new music coming our way. At least, not any time soon.

The full post read: “So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album .. I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour. I have been looking, seeking, trial and error as most of us do, I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be. Music is very important to me but Nothing comes before my family and my health. I will come with a kick ass album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable.... the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not the king said so. 👑 but I will come with a vengeance believe that.. (grammar and punctuation will be terrible pretend it’s a text where u just don’t care).”

In his message, Justin discussed the pressure of touring through his teenage years since the age of 16, comprised of the My World Tour, the Believe Tour and the Purpose Tour. He then went on the explain that during these installments, he wants to be giving fans his all and making sure they get the best of him - but that during his most recent Purpose Tour, he wasn’t able to do so towards the end.

He then continued explaining that he wants to take time out now to work on himself, and his recent marriage to Hailey Baldwin, as well as working towards being the father he wants to be. This comes after his recent post on Instagram asking for fans to keep him in their prayers as he’s been ‘struggling a lot’.

Oh, and he ended it announcing that a new ‘kick ass album’ will be coming, he’s just saying it probably won’t be anytime soon. (Sorry, Beliebers, we know how much you hate the word ‘soon.) But in the meantime, he’s busy working on his new clothing like ‘drew house’.
