The Situation Offered Cash By Abercrombie & Fitch
Jersey Shore star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has been offered a pay out by fashion label Abercrombie & Fitch to stop wearing their clothes.
Despite previously selling t-shirts with the slogan 'The Fitchuation' printed on them, A&F have issued a statement offering Sorrentino cash in return for swapping their garments for another label.
The US company have pleaded with The Sitch - who is often seen wearing their clothing range - to refrain from sporting the brand because they feel his image "could damage" their reputation.
A spokesperson for A&F confirmed: "We are deeply concerned that Mr Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image."
"We have therefore offered a substantial payment to Michael 'The Situation' Sorrentino and the producers of MTV’s Jersey Shore to have the character wear an alternate brand."
They added: "We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast and are urgently waiting a response."
Sorrentino has declined to comment on Abercrombie & Fitch's decision for him to stop wearing their clothes, with MTV's Remote Control blog stating: "It pains us to have elicited concern that our talent's choice of leisurewear would in any way harm A&F fans."
