The first trailer has arrived online for Stephen King adaptation The Dark Tower, with Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey going toe to toe in a battle between good and evil. And from the looks of this first footage, it’s going to be pretty epic…

The new film sees McConaughey star as the villainous Man In Black, seen here warning Elba’s heroic Gunslinger that, “"the War is over… you know what's coming… the Tower will fall." To which the gunslinger replies, “I do not kill with my gun… I kill with my heart.” GOOSEBUMPS!

Directed by Nikolaj Arcel and co-starring Katheryn Winnick, Dennis Haysbert and Jackie Earle Haley, The Dark Tower will open in the UK on 18 August 2017.
