Disney Channel have announced that it's headed back to East High for a new instalment of the, let's be honest, award worthy trilogy.

Only this time not only will there be Wildcats, but also their rivals, the West High Knights!

But before you get excited about Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens returning, they sadly won't be participating as Disney instead embark on a nationwide search for fresh new talent.

"High School Musical is part of Disney Channel's DNA," says Disney Channel President Gary Marsh.

"It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we're excited to announce 'the start of something new' as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the 'High School Musical' franchise."
