Ellie Goulding Slams Tabloid For "Naughty" Dougie Poynter Quotes
Ellie Goulding has criticised a tabloid newspaper for allegedly quoting her rumoured boyfriend Dougie Poynter incorrectly.
The Goodness Gracious singer took to Twitter after spotting an article by The Mail on Sunday which claims the McBusted star had confirmed their romance after weeks of speculation.
Poynter was said to have commented: "We've been seeing each other since last year. Ellie's a great girl, such a lovely person and a breath of fresh air in this industry.
"In the music industry you always bump into the same people, so it's nice when you get to meet other musicians you like and want to spend time with."
However, Ellie later tweeted that the paper was "naughty" for making up the remarks, writing: "How is a newspaper allowed to make up a random quote from someone about me. It's very naughty indeed."

Replying to a follower, she then wrote: "One made up quote can escalate to so much. Shame people don't care more about the real problems in the world now ie Syria, Ukraine."
Dougie also later referred to The Mail's article, tweeting: "Apparently I say “breath of fresh air” these days.

If your going to make something that I said up at least make me sound a little less flamboyant

Poynter was recently quizzed about Ellie during an interview with Jonathan Ross - with the star stating: "We're friends".
