Ellie Goulding has unveiled a surprising source of inspiration for her Halloween costume – ’90s children’s TV legend Mr Blobby!

Speaking at the Bacardi Triangle event in Puerto Rico, where Ellie, Calvin Harris and Kendrick Lamar will headline a concert on Palomino Island on Saturday night, the ‘Burn’ singer revealed what outfits she was considering for a Halloween party ahead of the big event.

“The thing is, I kind of have a bit of a dilemma, because I’ve either got a sexy – probably slutty if my stylist has anything to do with it – option, and I’ve also got Mr Blobby,” said Ellie.

“It could go either way. I think if I wear Mr Blobby it’ll be too hot, so I can’t decide. I’d like to do both.” [related]

The Halloween event is being held at the El Conquistador resort in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, where Ellie will be joined by members of the media, invited guests and competition winners.

When asked how she was feeling about her performance on Saturday night, Ellie said, “Hopefully I remember how to sing, because I haven’t done a show for about a month.”

As for whether or not she’d be joining regular collaborator Calvin Harris on stage, Ms. Goulding said, “It depends on how many I’ve had, really. If he doesn’t mind I might go up there. Hopefully!”
