Eddie Redmayne Wants To Be A Marvel Superhero

Given the huge amount of Hollywood A-listers involved in Marvel's movieverse, it's almost surprising to find an actor who hasn't donned a cape and tights on the silver screen at some point.
But Brit actor Eddie Redmayne could be the comic book behemoth's next star.
Speaking to MTV ahead of the release of his new movie, The Theory Of Everything, Eddie told us he'd be up for getting involved in a franchise.
"I think those Marvel films like The Avengers - Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston and pals - they look like they have quite a lot of fun, so perhaps I could play some sort of weird English baddie," he said, laughing: "Isn't that all we do?!"
[related]The actor also revealed he missed out on the chance to suit up in lycra after losing out on the part of Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, saying: "I tested for Spider-Man to play opposite Andrew Garfield, who's an old pal. That would've been fun."
But whether he ends up getting stuck in with Earth's mightiest heroes or not, Eddie certainly isn't suffering from superhero boredom.
"I'm one of those people that, when it comes to summer, and all the studios are competing to try and make you go and see their superhero movie - I'm easy fodder, I go and see them all," he gushed.
The Theory Of Everything hits UK cinemas on 1st January, 2015.
