UK acts Adele and Coldplay are up for MTV Video Music Awards next month as more nominations are released. Violet Hill is up for Best Special Effects while Adeles Chasing Pavements is nominated in the Best Choreography category. Coldplay are up against vids from Missy Elliot, Kanye West, Linkin Park and Erykah Badu. Young diva Adele will compete with Gnarls Barkley, Pussycat Dolls and Chris Brown in her category. The VMAs take place on September 7 in Los Angeles and will be hosted by our very own Russell Brand. Already announced to perform are Jonas brothers and Lil Wayne while there are sure to be a host of surprises!
