WTF Ever Happened To The First Generation Cast Of Skins?
Did you know that the first season of Skins turned ten this year? Yep, you’re officially old, and it’s been an entire decade since Hadouken, plastic neon beads and footless tights were cool. Good times.
A few of the original generation of Skins went on to pretty impressive things and we all know where they are right now. Cassie and Chris are both Game of Thrones stars, Tony was in X-Men and Mad Max and dated actual Jennifer Lawrence, while Anwar is literally Oscar nominated. WTF.
But what ever happened to the rest of ‘em that aren’t quite such well known names these days? Let’s find out where the original Skins gang are ten year on.
Michelle aka April Pearson
Michelle aka Nips had one priority and one priority only – looking shaggable at all times, but luckily reallife April went on to do bigger and better things once the first generation wrapped up their final scenes.
She’s still an actress with an appearance in 'Casualty' and an Alex Pettyfer horror film under her belt, but April’s now gone back to her theatre roots to star in a play at London’s Union Theatre. In true Michelle style, she seems to spenda lot of it in her undies judging by the pics on Twitter.
Sid aka Mike Bailey
After playing everyone’s favourite loser Sid for two seasons of 'Skins', Mike went on to star in a few dramas including a'1066: The Battle for Middle Earth'and teen comedy'We Are the Freaks'.Um, we’re not sure what they are either.
After that he dropped off the radar for a while for a lifeto become a drama teacher in London, but has most recently featured in a web series called'Hers & History', ‘a sexy comedic web series following a couple’s decision to be honest about their sexual past’. Classic Skins.
Jal aka Larissa Wilson
If you can find Larissa anywhere on the internet then you’re doing a better detective job than us. She’s officially off the fame radar right now, after completinga few small television roles and a part in teen horror movie, 'Tormented'.
Just like Jal, Larissa used to say back in the day that she hoped to play the clarinet professionally, so seeing as she’s on absolutely zero social media platforms to keep us updated, fingers crossed she’s tootling away somewhere and living the dream.
Maxxie aka Mitch Hewer
Mitch didn’thang up his dancing shoes just because he said goodbye toMaxxie on Skins – in fact, he’s been seriously busy ever since, mostly growing muscles and a man bun, by the looks of things.
Mitch has since starred in music drama 'Britannia High', the Take That musical 'Never Forget', and a few other minor television roles. According to his Twitter, he's absolutely loving his job and iscurrently preparing for his big 'Casualty' debut as Mickey Ellisson. AWOO.
Sketch aka Aimee-Ffion Edwards
Having being creepy af as Maxxie's stakerSketch, Aimee-Ffion has done seriously well in life after Skins, and has been in more TV dramas than you can shake a stick at. Seriously, she’s popped up in everything from 'Casualty', to 'Luther', to 'Death In Paradise', and she also plays Esme Shelby in the mega huge BBC show'Peaky Blinders'.
Aside from keeping busy with all of that awesome stuff, Aimee-Ffion spends her free time retweeting lots of Welsh-related issues, and seems to be very into sport. Lovely jubbly.
Posh Kenneth aka Daniel Kaluuya
Arguably the best character on the whole show, Posh Kenneth is now a pretty big deal and we didn’t even realise. Seriously, this information is about to blow your mind.
He’s been in 'Black Mirror' (the X Factor inspired episode), appeared alongside Emily Blunt in 'Sicario'and most recently, Danieltook the lead role in' Get Out'. Yes, you didn't realise until this moment, butTHAT’S POSH KENNETH IN 'GET OUT,' so he’s definitely doing okay for himself. Nice one, Kenneth.
Abigail aka Georgina Moffatt
Having effectively ruined Michelle’s life and convinced Tony to dress up as Luke Skywalker for the party back in the 'Skins' days, Abigail aka Georgina seems to be basically living the dream right now.
Her Twitter bio says that she lives in Sydney, LA and London, and her Instagram suggests that she does nothing but travel the world to all sorts of incredible locations. She’s also gorgeous so yeah, quite jealous really.
Angie aka Siwan Morris
Siwan is still best known for playing Angie and her scandalous school teacher affair with Chris, but since 'Skins' she’s also appeared in loads of Welsh-language TV dramas, a spooky CBBC show called 'Wolfblood', and an episode of 'Doctor Who'.
Over in her personal life, it looks as thought Siwan spends lots of quality time with her family, and she loves a motivational quote or two.
