Catfish: The TV Show Stars: "Some People Take It Too Far"
The stars of Catfish: The TV Show - which premieres tonight at 10pm on MTV - have exclusively told WATCH THE FIRST EPISODE OF CATFISH: THE TV SHOW HERE!
The pair explained that a Catfish is someone who is "unpredictable" and has the ability to stir things up, adding that one of the things they learnt during the making of the TV show is that there is no stereotype.
Nev claimed: "The show shed lights on why people do the things they do and makes you realise everyone is very similar and has the same universal problems.”
However, he then added: "Some people get addicted to it and take it too far.”
Rather than judging people who lie about themselves online, Nev and Max hope their show will make viewers realise that we should all be more understanding.
They explained: "We have to remember that there are two sides to every story, the Catfish usually has a reason for doing it, valid or not… if we can take the time to sit down and find out we might even understand them.”
“In life there are people who are Catfish who keep us on our toes and keep nipping on our fins to keep things interesting and without them life would be dull and boring.”
