The Vamps Hoping For Album Release This Year

Calling all Vampettes! If you’re hoping for an album from the MTV Brand New For 2014 nominees this year, you might be in luck!
Speaking exclusively to MTV News UK, James joked on the year ahead: “Well obviously after I marry Taylor [Swift] we’ll probably make an album together.”
Bradley added: “After that I think we’re just going to try and get a few more songs out and then an album out which is awesome but kind of scary and exciting at the same time and then hopefully going on tour.
“We’ve got The Wanted tour and Taylor Swift coming up and then we’ll go on our own tour hopefully at the end of the year but we’re just trying to see as many fans in as many places, keep writing songs and gigging as much as we can.”
The band who scored a No.2 single with Can We Dance last year also told us that their forthcoming single Wild Heart had a big influence on the sound of the album.
“We really enjoyed making Can We Dance but with Wild Heart we kind of experimented more with musical genre in the sense that we added a banjo and mandolin,” James revealed.
“We like to try and push ourselves into directions to try new things really and we’ve gone for more of a folky vibe so we hope people like it. We like to think it’s a feel good song I guess.”
Bradley continued: “Wild Heart has kind of influenced the rest of the album sound almost just because it was such a key song for us, and so was Can We Dance, but like James said there’s a lot of like folky vibes in it so we try and incorporate that into a lot of other songs as well.”
