The internet imploded this morningwhen eagle-eyed Times readers spotted a subtle but unmistakable announcement in the 'Forthcoming Marriages' section.
Benedict Cumberbatch is getting married. To a woman.
[related]The sound of a million Cumberbabes' hearts collectively breaking was almost actually audible, as fans took to Twitter in droves to express their disappointment, devastation, and displeasure that the actor has deigned to decide to spend the rest of his life with somebody who a) he's actually met in real life and b) is probably in love with.
What a b*****d.
While many chose to magnanimously congratulate Benny and his bride-to-be Sophie Hunter (like anyone cares what her name is), others turned to the dark side… and it all got pretty scary, tbh.
