Everything You Need To Know About Ariana Grande’s Sweetener Tour and AG5

The pop superstar is hitting the road in 2019 with not one but TWO new albums...

Ariana Grande's road toThe Sweetener World Tourhas hardly been smooth.

The pop superstar's fourth album'sweetener'debuted at Number 1 on both sides of the pond in August and its singles have dominated the charts and radio all year, however her personal life turned upside down in the weeks after the album's release, which put everything on hold.

The original tour schedule was most likely scrapped to create a brand new plan that'll accommodate the 'Breathin' singer in the best way now that she has decided to go ahead with it, after saying that she didn't know if she would be able to face performing for months on end around the world, given the circumstances.

Now, Ariana has released the first set of dates for The Sweetener World Tour, her third world tour and first since the Dangerous Woman Tour wrapped up in summer 2017.

The tour will first go around North America, where she will play 42 dates between the US and Canada, including major stops at Madison Square Garden in New York and the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

There are noticeable gaps between certain dates that suggest more dates will be added if the demand is there, which it obviously will be considering that she's the biggest pop star on the planet.

The North American leg of the tour will kick off March 18th and wrap up June 18th, when she may take a break before bringing the show overseas to Europe and the UK.

European tour dates are expected to be announced "soon", with the singer promising fans they will come shortly after the initial North American announcement.

We would expect her to perform around the UK and Ireland in the summer, either July or August, which will surely please her fans as - let's be real - who doesn't love a good old summertime gig?

Even more excitingly, Ariana won't just be adding songs from'sweetener'to the set list as she has recorded its follow-up (yes, a whole album!) in the past two months.

Describing music as her healing process, she has spent a lot of her time in the studio working on new music since September and has confirmed it will be released very soon as her fifth album.

Who else can record a whole album's worth of music that's good enough to be an album in just a few weeks?!

Speaking directly to fans via Twitter, Ari has teased that it could drop before the end of the year, although she did more recently say that she hasn't decided on a final release date for it yet.

A second music video is set to be released for 'sweetener''s third single 'Breathin' -which is alreadydoing phenomenally well without an official video - which tells us not to put all of our bets on the new album coming before 2019.

However, it will definitely be here before the tour begins in March, it seems. Just pleasedon't cut 'Into You' or 'Love Me Harder', we're begging, Ari!
