Ariana Grande Credits Therapy With Saving Her Life
Ariana Grande has opened up about her experience of therapy and has encouraged fans to seek out mental health treatment if they ever find themselves struggling.
In tweet, the singer said that “therapy has saved my life so many times,” and told her followers that there’s nothing weak about accepting you need help: “If you’re afraid to seek help, don’t be. I’ve got a lot of work to do, but it’s a start to even be aware that it’s possible.”
The 25-year-old has previously opened up about developing post-traumatic stress disorder after the Manchester Arena terrorist attack in May, 2017 – which resulted in 22 people being killed and a further 800 being injured.
Billboard have reported that the singer has found solace in writing music, with new track ‘Thank U, Next’ being a tribute to her previousrelationships with Pete Davidson, Big Sean, and the late Mac Miller.
In a BBC Music special, she also got real about her experience of anxiety: “It’s just in your head and it’s just so crazy how powerful it is. The most important thing is to remember that… everybody has this,” she said. “Talk to your loved ones, reach out to people, especially your friends online. Reach out to each other.”
This comes as Ariana confirmed that she’s “ready” to head out on tour again: “i’m ready my heart needs it actually finalizing a few more things but i’m tryna get em dates to u asap,” she said.
