Amy Winehouse Found Dead
Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in north London.
No suspicious circumstances surround the death; a drink and drugs overdose is suspected.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police confirmed they had received a call at 4.05pm on Saturday concerning the possible death of a woman at a flat in Camden Square. "On arrival, officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene," the statement said. "Inquiries continue into the circumstances of death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained."
After the news broke early on Saturday evening, crowds began gathering near Amy's home as fans arrived to pay their respects. Police cordoned off a section of road outside the Camden flat and forensic investigators were seen entering the home.
The Dionne Bromfield's gig at The Roundhouse in Camden on Wednesday. Although she didn't sing, Amy danced on stage and encouraged the audience to buy Dionne's album.
