Amanda Bynes may be detained in involuntary confinement for up to a year should her mental health be deemed "grave" enough to warrant it, reports TMZ.

Sources told the site: "The plan is to get an LPS Hold, something a judge will grant at the behest of doctors but only if the patient is 'gravely disabled as a result of a mental disorder or impairment by chronic alcoholism'."

This isn't the first time the She's The Man actress has received one of these warrants, with one she was given last year having run out in September.

According to the gossip website, her parents Rick and Lynn 'tricked' her into coming to the mental hospital, with Amanda now hating them for it.
