Aaron Chalmers has issued a firm denial to those reports that he and Lauren Popesplit because he"spat food" at her, saying that the incident never actually happened in the first place.

Detailing three very good reasons for why he'd never do such a thing, Aaron confirmed the end of their relationship *and* let rip on the food-spitting reports in an interview withThe Sun.

Explaining that, for one, he'd never "waste food" that way, the Geordie Shore star said:"Apparently I spat food at Lauren. 1. I am not a tramp 2. If I spat food at her she would knock us out and 3. I wouldn’t waste food."

The initial reports were centred on an argument Aaron and Lauren were said to have had in Dubai, with The Mirror reporting that he "drank too much, spat expensive food at Lauren, called her a c**t and trashed their hotel room."

But, deciding to share the real - less outrageous -reason behind their split, Aaron said:“We split because of the distance and working commitments – it wasn’t really fair on either of us.

Even so, there's still potential for a reunion in the future, with Aaron keeping his options open for thefuture:"The truth is we broke up because of the distance but I would never say never about giving things another go."

So, there's still hope for these two.
