A$AP Rocky's 'Praise The Lord (Da Shine)' Music Video Ft. Skepta has LDN And NY Collide
A$AP Rocky is known for constantly putting out incredible music videos, often utilising captivating editing techniques to curate a very specific vibe - each one adding to the overall artistry of the song in question. His latest videos for the tracks off of his new album'Testing, 'which came out last week, are no exception. The first video for 'A$AP Forever' used some incredibly entrancing camera trickery to create one of the best music videos we've seen this year - and now theSkepta-featuring follow-up 'Praise The Lord (Da Shine)' adds to that list.

The new music video puts New York and London up against each other - literally. Rocky uses a split screen to show clips from both citiesat once, and all kinds of editing trickery throughout to splice one into another. It features both A$AP Rocky and Skepta in their respective hometowns, with their respective mobs - it really shines a light on how hard this track goes in, and is such a vibe. Also is that JME, Skepta's younger brother, watching the snakes, the rats, the cats, the dogs?
A$AP has had close ties with London for some time now, and this isn't his first track with Grime artist Skepta either. Rocky featured on Skepta's 'Ghost Ride' off of his 'Vicious EP 'last year. We reallysawthe how well the New York and London sound can come together in 2016on A$AP Mobs'Put That On My Set', where the individual styles of Rocky and Skeptacontrasted beautifully. The new track 'Praise the Lord' manages to keep up with that high standard, opting for a more trappy styling with the softer, funner melodycontrasting with the heavier, deeper bars the two rappers deliver. It's definitely one of the standouttracks off the new record, so catchy and so very fire.
We can't lie, we're absolutely suckers for flute-led beats, there's something about the fun, friendlinessof the sound of a flute contrasted with the trap-y drums and hard bars that bangs so much. Low-key sounds like they're rapping over a trap/hip-hop infused Nintendo 64 'Legend of Zelda'theme song - not that that's a bad thing, in fact it's totally fireit turns out.
Plus, we love seeing A$AP and Skepta's relationship - in fact there's a great clip of them performing a snippet of the song in the street, which you can checkout below -it just makes us love the track more.
