5 Seconds Of Summer have revealed they are officially hard at work on album number two, and are 'feeling creative' in the studio!

The Aussie band confirmed to MTV US they're doing their best to give fans new music soon, despite their hectic touring schedule while on the road with One Direction.

“We’ve been trying to, ‘trying’ is the key word,” Ashton said about laying down new tracks.

“We’ve been trying to fit it in. We’ve been so busy lately, but we are definitely feeling creative again and excited to write a second album.”

Michael also revealed that fan should be ready for "some little stuff" they've got coming up at the end of the year.

“We don’t know whether we are supposed to be keeping secrets or not,” Ashton said about what song will be the next single. “We want to have some surprises up our sleeves."

The boys recently teased the world witha pic on Instagram of a sound desk, captioned: "Recording some NEW NEW stuff."
